Advancing equity, visibility and opportunity for women in critical care

Research
WICC supports research that advances our understanding of women’s experiences in critical care and paramedicine, while also creating space for more women to step into research themselves.
Our research community is not limited by subject matter. We want to encourage and support women at every stage of the research journey — from a first project or higher degree through to established research leadership. By connecting researchers, sharing opportunities and amplifying their work, we aim to increase the visibility of women within science, scholarship and research leadership.
Alongside research focused on equity, workforce and critical care, WICC champions the women behind the research; helping build confidence, collaboration and a stronger pipeline of women contributing to and leading the evidence that shapes our profession.

Education & Events
WICC Education & Events are designed to bring people together through practical learning, shared experience and genuine connection. Our program includes workshops, clinical skills sessions, case-based discussions, guest presentations and networking events delivered by clinicians, educators and subject matter experts across intensive and critical care, paramedicine, retrieval and related fields.
Whether you are exploring a future in intensive or critical care, currently studying, or already working in an advanced practice role, our events are designed to build knowledge, confidence and community in an inclusive and supportive environment.
